Fabrica 23

Taking its name from its address, Fabrica 23 is a must you good food lover. Situated in the once fishing neighbourhood of Santa Catalina this is place has been featured and recommended in many gourmet journals and magazines.

This Bistro offers modern Mediterranean cooking and a great set lunch every day. The menu changes from day to day according to what is available in the nearby market. Fresh, seasonal and mediterranean dishes with good options for vegetarians. While the normal menu could be somewhat expensive (not really but, you get what you pay for), the set lunch is about 18 Euro.

Fabrica 23 is really a well known place by foreign and local people and therefore it gets fully booked quite easy. During summer, there was a time when it was needed to reserve your table with more than a week in advance. So keep this in mind: book your table, reservations are essential.

While this is not a design place, their dishes are really elaborated and really well presented.

Before going to the Bistro or if just you are waiting for your table (didn't remember to book?), go round the corner to Avenida Argentina and have a drink at Costa Galana café. They do not have great cocktails (do not bother to ask, is a design place but the waiters do not know what really a cocktail is), but the modern atmosphere is great.

There is not much to say about this place: the food is good and the ambient is nice (maybe not many during lunch time, so just choose by yourself).
