Located in the small village of Santa Eugenia, L'Escargot Restaurant features exclusive French cuisine made with local fresh ingredients at affordable prices. Featured in the Michelin guide, L'Escargot is the only restaurant olding the Bib Gourmand award, which is used to reward to reward locations offering a good and inexpensive cuisine (below 30 euro, drinks not included).
Menu's are changed almost every 2 weeks, according to availability of local products in the nearest markets and the season. Dishes are cooked acroding to your preferences, but of course, this also has a small price you'll need to pay: depending on what you ask, it may take a bit longer than usual. "Cooking is Love - and Love needs time…" says Patricia, the owner, who has pretty clear that quality is non compatible with quick food.
The menu, which is around 25 euro per person, features 3 courses: starter, main course and dessert. Along with dishes such as the Seabass filet in a crispy batter with flavored rice and a herb emulsion, L'Escargot also offersa wide selection of red and white wines for its wine cellar.
Best of Mallorca Tip: the village is small and quiet, and L'Escargot terrace can be perfect if you want to organize an informal and friendly event, while keeping it budget.
To be featured at the Michelin is not something everyone can be proud of. But to do that while keeping the prices affordable to every budget... well, that's something just a few can do.
