PGA 2005 Mallorca Classic Golf Tournament

From the 20^th to the 23^rdof October, one week before the Volvo Masters, the Pula Golf will home to the 2005 Edition of the Mallorca Classic Golf Tournament.

Presented by Claudia Schiffer in the IBATUR (Balearic Institute of Tourism) stand at the ITB in Berlin, this Golf Tournament is included in to the PGA European Competition and is to be held at the Pula Golf, situated in Son Servera (east coast of the island). This year the course has been redesigned by José María Olazábal and is now the longest and most demanding course in Mallorca (a par-70 of 6,208 m). The tournament will be played on the basis of 72 holes Stroke Play, with a cut-off after the first 36 holes of the best 70 players and those drawing.

Also, the Mallorca Classic ’05 tournament will score towards qualification for the 2006 Ryder Cup and give participating players more points in the World Ranking, according to its new regulations.

Mallorca Classic competitors will share a total of 1,500,000 euro in prizes.

For those interested, tickets can be bought at the Pula Golf for 10 Euro a 1 day pass or 30 euro for a 4 days pass.
