Summer Art in Mallorca at the Es Baluard Museum

The latest of the new Museums in Palma de Mallorca, Es Baluard Contemporary Art Museum, is welcoming the summer with a sere of new exhibitions and events.

The first of these is the called "Pensar las formas. Esculturas contemporaneas en las colecciones mallorquinas" (Thinking the forms. Contemporary sculptures in the Mallorca collections). Being held in the "Aljub" area as well as on the first floor terrace of the museum, it is composed of 57 arts from private collections as well as from publics ones. It represents a Mallorca walk around the works on te XX century in the island.

The second series is called part of the called "Lluna d'Es Baluard" (Baluard's Moon began during last summer), having place during the warm and pleasant summer nights to show the visitors shows that goes from contemporary dance to electronic music and Deejays. The "Lluna d'Es Baluard" exhibitions are being held every Friday night from 22:00 pm and are totally for free for visitors, supposedly as a form of promotion.

Art lovers around Mallorca will be then delighted if visiting the museum which is now taking profit of its space to promote the art in a different manner more appropriate to the season and the Mediterranean feeling.
