Mallorca Hotels: occupation to reach 100% in August

Mallorca hotels are near to reach a 100 per cent occupation this August, due to the recent problems at Egypt and Turkey that has made many tourist to change their holidays destination to Mallorca.

August is the month where Mallorca hotels have the highest occupation and this August 2005 reservations are going to reach the limits. From now and supposedly until the 21st of this month, occupation at Mallorca hotels will be saturated.

While the situation is under control by now, there have been a few cases of overbooking that fortunately have been easily solved. The major area affected has been the Playa de Palma, El Arenal, where the hotelsare at about 98% of its capacity.

Although British and German tourism seems to be going a little bit lower this year, about a 10% less, this percentage of occupation was not reached from 5 years ago till now.
