Mallorca Upcoming Summer: what’s going on.

Mallorca summer is far away yet but many people are already doing his plans and hotel bookings. And so does Mallorca behind the scenes.

The recently opened Harbour Club seems to be working hard to be one of the places to go: daily menus during all week and live deejays at night from every Thursday and during the weekend, just above the “Mar Salada” disco at the Club de Mar, in Palma’s marina club.

Nearby there, in the Torre Peraires, the Sushi Club is becoming one of the most visited places. A mix of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine set up on a trendy local that will delight those “in” people who need to know and be at the latest hip Mallorca places (you real-shusi-man-sensei: not your place, trust me).

While not new, the Swedish owned Ublo Restaurant (Plaza Progreso 23, next to Santa Catalina +34971 90 30 13) is the new jewel still to discover by both locals and foreign people: an excellent Italian serving also serving their special lobster sample.

Sleeping beauties already woke up or on their way: the recently renovated Castillo Hotel Son Vida reopened yesterday February the 14^th with such a big facelift that Cher would like for herself; in the meanwhile in Soller , the Esplendido Hotel (a sister to the Portixol ) is soon to finish works and do the Grand Opening on the 31^st of March.

Have you already booked you hotel? If not you are late for the most of the hip places. Come on.

Summer concerts will be all around the island, but would Jamiroquai and the Jazz Voyeur Festival come back?. We are sure for the last but what’s about Jay Kay? We all know he loves the island.

Finally, it seems some people never have work enough: Puro Beach goes to Marbella to open a sister place there (and the works are already going on). Now those here only miss a big RIVA boat or similar to do private quick trips from there to Palma and the other way (are you reading Mats?)
