Summer is time for music concerts in Mallorca. Long days and warm nights make this season the best to music festivals.
This summer season will not be different. Or it will be, as among the normal concerts that usually have place all around the island, there will be also a few music stars in the Island.
As you maybe already now, the Jazz Voyeur Festival will be started by George Benson at the Casino Mallorca. But parallel to this, Mallorca’s villages organize many other music events on each of their local festivities so the Island will be plenty of concerts of all kinds.
Carlinhos Brown will be playing at the Sa Torre park in Felanitx, where he will be presenting its repertory, a fusion of African and Brazilian beats.
We are also happy to announce that Jamiroquai will be coming back to Palma the 27th of July, but the scenario (most probably Palma’s bullring) is still pending to be confirmed. Jay Kay and its band came to Mallorca on 2003 and the show was brilliant, in fact one the best ever seen in Palma. Sure we will be there.
Update: while the date for the concert is officially confirmed , and so is the location, there are still here in Mallorca some doubts for the location. By reading funkin.com we found that the band is against bull fights and that they do not support it. But there is no other place in the island capable for a show of this kind; so no way, it will be there.
Another international band repeating in Mallorca will be The Wailers, Bob Marley’s band and veterans of the reggae music, who will be at the Sala Assaig in the Poligono de Levante the night on the 9th of June.
