HM Martinique Magaluf Apartments

The Martinique Apartments in Magaluf are built around a nice pool, surrounded by palm trees, pretty closed to the beach and the centre (only 5-10 minutes away from the main areas). Built in 1987, the Martinique was fully renovated in 1999 and therefore it keeps quite new yet.

Pertaining to the HM Company, a mallorcan one known by good hotels as the HM Palma, the apartments consist in a room (twin), living room, kitchenette and bathroom and fit up to four people in if you use the sofa beds included in the living room area. While somewhat basic, all of them have air condition, fridge, safety box, Satellite TV and most of them also have a terrace or balcony. Rooms are made up 3 times a week, which is fair enough.

The Martinique offers the guests an inside pool among the outside one, as well as bar with leisure area with tennis, football, shuffleboard and mini golf. Also, you will find internet access there, perfect for those who can’t keep without checking their emails.

The board basis there is self catering, which is not bad at all if you know the kind of food usually served in Magaluf hotels and resorts (the food they serve is not bad, so you can also eat here). Anyway, the supermarket is just there, so there is no need to look for one away from the hotel resort. Or you can just go to any of the restaurants opposite the complex (check out Joe Brown’s breakfasts), which serve good food at reasonable prices.

The Hotel is well run and has a nice bar where every night there is something going on, just in case you do not go for clubbing and prefers to stay at the hotel.

The rates: from 26 euro (about 18 pounds) per person per night, which I found fair enough for the quality the Martinique offers.
