Hotel Born

Not a luxurious or design hotel, but one of the best choices for accommodation in the very hearth of Palma's centre, not far away from the Cathedral and La Lonja, the main restaurants area.

The Hotel Born was built in the 16^th century old place of the Marquis of Ferrandell family (called by the mallorcans Ca'n Maroto), which later was restored in the 18^th Century with a classic Majorcan yard, and which is now a good option if you are looking for a discount hotel in Palma de Mallorca (in the range of the 60-80 Euro per night).

All rooms have bathroom, central heating system, telephone, satellite T.V. and air condition. The best ones: those looking to the courtyard.

Breakfast is serverd in the courtyard (a marvelous one) and the food has a mallorcan touch which is greatly appreciatted.

The hotel has no pool and no lift, and you should keep in mind it if this if you are looking more for a place to have a relaxing vacations and rest. But otherwise it is great and surprises as it is better than many other hotels in a superior cathegory.

The staff is helpful and friendly. But these are the facts that make small hotels such as Hotel Born that great, much better than these big luxurious ones pertaining to big companies.
