Bar Maritimo

Just down the small hill of San Magin and its old windmills, we find the Bar Maritimo one of Palma's classics. Opened in 1951, "El Marítimo" (as everybody knows it) has been a priviligiated viewer of Palma's evolution.

Frequented by local people, it also uses to be a place to stop for those walking along the sea side of Palma, and an option to the more expensive bars as the Capuccino's or the Darsena.

After more than 50 years this still keeps an spanish feeling and a touch of what the 70's where in Mallorca, with black and white dressed waiters, tapas & palm tree atmosphere surroundings. Good if tyou go with children, as they have a small area for them to play and there square is big enough for them to run. The best time to go: a little bit before the sunset. A worth to stop there, or at leats to pass and have a look (but just for its terrace).
