Marriott Son Antem

In the heart of Mallorca, in the Luchmajor village and surrounded by olive and almond trees, Mallorca Marriott Son Antem Golf Resort & Spa, a luxurious five stars resort, is a golfer's paradise.

Son Antem has two different golf courses: the East green and the West green. The east one is closed to Playa de Palma, in Llucmajor’s marina, in a open and plain place, and has one of the best practice greens on the islands. The west one is simply fantastic.

This golf course is perfect is you are somewhat under the average, as it quite easy for the normal player. They do have an golf Academy (which also offer children lessons) there and an excellent practice area. However, just by moving position of the tees and flags the course gets more harder than it initially seems. While somewhat plain, this course has also some bunkers.

Some years ago they built there four lakes that in Marriot Son Antem which helped to increase the wildlife in the area. During some months, you will find many birds stopping there while migrating to Africa.

Son Antem's atmosphere is mainly British and Scandinavian, casual and relaxing. Definitely, perfect is you are not a pro player but want to make the most of golfing in Mallorca.

The only think that has me a bit disspointed is the phone booking service, as I called many times and, after talking to the phone operator and tell her to pass me to golf reservations, I finished up trying to live a message in an answering machine that was completly full and did not give any other option.

Also, a minor drawback if you plan to stay at the Marriots Hotel is that renting a car is a must if you do not want to be a prisoner in the resort.
