Now we have the most difficult part. You really want to do a boat trip and enjoy sailing Mallorca, but you have no budget at all to spend or just a small one. Do not worry.
Being Mallorca an island, it is plenty of sailing people. Many mallorcan residents have a boat, even a small one. Go and ask at the reception desk if let them know that although you have a very small budget, you will be happy to spend some bucks in a boat trip. If you are lucky, they could point you to a friend of tem that has a boat and who will happy to take you on a small trip if you do pay a part of the cost. In fact, you will be paying for the whole cost of launching the boat, you know that, but by paying about 60 euro for each one you for a half day really worth it. I know several people that have a sailing boat and happy to get some money by doing this. This is not really a business, so keep in mind that you can not expect them do to what ever you want. Think about it like having a new friend, not like a business.
On the other hand, there are also many companies doing small trips with groups for as cheap as 30-40 Euro.
In Palma, Cruceros Iberia has a boat trips starting from the Auditorium and going to Santa Ponsa and back for around 40 Euro. They serve paella and sangria and do stop to have a quick bath. You can book by calling to +34 971 71 71 90.
In the Puerto of Soller, there is a daily trip to Sa Foradada organized by Barcos Azules that takes about 3 hours.
If you are around Colonia de San Jordi there is another organized excursion that takes you along the coast and to Sa Cova Blava (la cueva azul) and back. Food is optional here, you can have it or not. And the cost is not bad at all: around 30 Euro. You can contaxct them by calling to +34 971 64 90 34.
And finally, if you do come with your family and children, there is one starting from Can Pastilla (begining of El Arenal). The boat will take you to Palmanova and stops time enough to go to Marineland, a dolphin and parrot show, but it is not a must to. The cost is about 24 Euro, but the entrance to Marineland is not included (adults 17 euro, children 11 Euro).
So you can not say now there is no option for you. Enjoy.
